The countertop recipe belongs to Laura Sava, whom we thanked every time for the goodness with which we delight our eyes ... and our taste!

Mix flour with semolina and salt. Mix the yeast with water and sugar and leave it to rise for 2-3 minutes. Then mix everything and knead for ten minutes. We divide into balls. I got two huge pizzas (so in Italy) ... or I can get 4 medium or 6 small pizzas ... each one chooses.

Let the dough wrap for 15 minutes at room temperature.

We prepare pizza.

Grease the top with the tomato sauce, which we previously formed by hand (not with the rolling pin), add the mozzarella, vegetables, Parmesan, olives, add the tomato sauce if we want, basil, rosemary ... and run to the oven where do not stay more than 15 minutes.

This pizza has a fantastic top, it's made so fast it's so fluffy that it's well worth it!

Papa John's Chicken and Veggie Pizza

Both McGrane and Amanda Blechman, RD, CDN, love Papa John's Chicken and Veggie Pizza.

“Papa John’s was a go-to for me while I was in college getting my nutrition degree because it was nearby, quick and affordable on a full-time student’s budget,” says Blechman. "The Chicken and Veggie Pizza is a solid choice because by including a protein source in addition to the veggies, you're adding even more nutrition and balance on top of the yummy crust, sauce, and cheese." How to Grill Pizza

Sprinkle the back of a sheet pan with flour. Prepare toppings and pour some vegetable oil into a small bowl. Have everything organized and ready to take outside.

Using your hands, press the dough out thin rectangle. Pull the dough up and sprinkle more flour underneath to keep the dough loose.

Prepare the grill for high direct heat. Using tongs, dip a folded paper towel in vegetable oil and rub on grates. Carefully slide pizza dough onto the grill. Close grill and cook for 2 & ndash 3 minutes. Using tongs, lift dough and check to see if lightly brown.

Using tongs and a sheet pan, flip the pizza dough, so it & rsquos grilled-side up. Brush pizza crust with olive oil and spread on pizza sauce. Top with mozzarella and pepperoni. Close grill and cook for another 2 & ndash 3 minutes or until the bottom is a crispy brown and cheese melts. If the dough is browning but the toppings still need more time, lower the heat and let cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Transfer pizza to a cutting board. Sprinkle with rosemary and Parmesan cheese. It serves.

When we lived in Tulsa, we frequented a pizzeria called Andolini & rsquos on Cherry St. We loved it! They topped their pizzas with fresh ingredients, massive pepperoni slices, and the crust was always crispy and charred. They also had amazing deep-fried garlic knots. Holy cow, I miss that place!

Sadly, I haven & rsquot been able to find a replacement since we moved to Dallas. So in the meantime, I make my pizza on the grill & mdashand so should you, because it & rsquos the best way to make pizza at home.

Today, I & rsquom going to show you how to grill pizza, taking you through the steps, so you can enjoy crispy charred pizza at home.

First, start with 1 pound of your favorite pizza dough at room temperature. (Tip: P-Dub & rsquos pizza dough is perfect on the grill.)

Sprinkle the back of a sheet pan or cookie sheet with flour. Using your hands, spread the dough out into a thin rectangle.

Prepare the grill for direct high heat. Use tongs and a folded paper towel to rub the grates with vegetable oil. Carefully slide the dough directly onto the grates. Close the grill and cook for 2 & ndash 3 minutes.

Using tongs, gently lift the dough to check the bottom. It should be light brown.

Using your tongs and a sheet pan, turn the pizza dough grilled-side up.

Brush pizza with olive oil and spread on pizza sauce. Add toppings. Close and cook for another 2 & ndash 3 minutes.

Using your tongs, lift the crust to check for a brown crispy bottom. If the dough is browning but the toppings still need more time, lower the heat and let cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Transfer pizza to cutting board. Sprinkle with minced fresh rosemary and shaved Parmesan.

Not only is grilled pizza one of the best ways to get a crispy brown crust, it also helps keep your house cool. Now you no longer need to have your oven on for 30 minutes when it & rsquos 90-plus degrees outside!

If you & rsquove been on the hunt for perfectly crisp, charred pizza crust, grilled pizza is the answer. It & rsquos the best. The best! And as soon as you get the slide-and-flip motion down, it & rsquos easy.

Veggie Pizza Toppings

We & # 8217re topping this veggie pizza with some classic vegetable toppings. While you can add just about any veggie you have in your fridge, here & # 8217s what we & # 8217re putting on it:

  • Eggplant: We & # 8217ll briefly pre-roast the eggplant to get it nice and tender. You could also grill it if you have the BBQ going!
  • Zucchini: As with the eggplant, we & # 8217ll quickly cook this in advance to tenderize it and remove the excess water. You can use zucchini or yellow summer squash here.
  • Bell pepper: Red and yellow bell peppers add color and crunch to this rainbow veggie pizza.
  • Spinach: It & # 8217s not a vegetable pizza without our favorite leafy green! Cook this in a pan before topping the pizza to remove the extra water.
  • Red onion: Top it all off with sliced red onions for more color and zing.
  • Cheese: And of course, the cheese. Use a low moisture shredded mozzarella for this classic veggie pizza.
  • Tomato sauce: You can use store bought tomato sauce or homemade marinara sauce here (but don & # 8217t go overboard, it should just be a thin spread of sauce).

Should you cook vegetables before you put them on pizza? Sometimes! Veggies with a higher water content & # 8211 like mushrooms, spinach, zucchini, or eggplant & # 8211 should be cooked in advance to prevent the pizza from becoming soggy.

Air Fryer Veggie Shorts

Carlene Thomas / Eat This, Not That!

Love pizza night, but want to switch it up? These air fryer calzones take all the fun toppings of pizza and secure them in a crisp, hand-held, delicious bundle. With the help of store-bought pizza dough (find it in the bakery section at the grocery store or ask your local pizza joint if they can sell you some), you can simply focus on the yummy fillings.

An air fryer’s swift-moving air makes the outside of each pocket beautifully crisp, yet fluffy on the inside. No dry pants here!

Pro type: For best results, make sure you're not overfilling the calzones, and that the edges are crimped shut or they'll spring a leak.

Serves 4

Alex and I are huge (huge!) amateur pizza. We eat mainly vegetarian in our daily lives, so there’s always a place for cheese at the table. Cheeseless pizza was a stretch for us. But we’re always up for trying new things.

This vegan pizza recipe — good news — tastes incredible, no cheese needed! The umami of mushrooms and artichokes, our favorite tomatoes (Muir Glen Organic fire roasted), a little fresh basil make an explosion of flavor. The one caveat is that vegan pizza doesn’t stick together quite as easily as with the glue of cheese-ladden pizza, so watch for sliding toppings when you grab a slice. But it’s a small price to pay. Consider it another & # 8220I could never, & # 8221 accomplished.

Hummus Pizza with Veggies

If you like hummus, you will LOVE this hummus pizza with artichokes, spinach, and olives. It's one of our favorite pizza recipes around here! The recipe for this hummus pizza was kindly sponsored by NOA.

I love hummus and I love pizza. So I thought why not just make hummus pizza?! Instead of tomato sauce, I spread hummus on the pizza dough. I then added spinach, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, artichokes, olives, and red onion. Boy, it turned out sooo delicious !!

I just came home from Asia last week. Together with my mom, I spent three weeks traveling from India to Thailand and I still suffer from some kind of cold shock. I knew it would be cold when I got home, but I didn't expect it to be cold. We had like 86 degrees and lots of sun, so it kinda feels like I & # 8217m living in Siberia right now. Haha! No, I'm exaggerating, but I definitely wasn't looking forward to the cold weather. But I sure was looking forward to having my own kitchen again and being able to cook my own food. Don & # 8217t get me wrong, the food we had in Asia was amazing, but I really missed cooking.

So when I got home, I got some delicious hummus and other healthy lentil and bean spreads waiting for me in the fridge. NOA sent me some of their new products to test and I couldn't wait to make some great recipes using their hummus. All of their spreads and dips are 100% vegan and made with fresh and healthy ingredients. And they & # 8217re so yummy! Right now, they offer four different spreads:

  • hummus
  • hummus with herbs (my favorite!)
  • lentil curry with quinoa
  • kidney bean red bell pepper with quinoa

You can either just eat them with bread or veggie sticks or you could get a bit more creative and use them for pasta dishes. I also love eating them with potatoes and salad. All of the four spreads are packed with protein, which makes them perfect for vegetarians and vegans.

The hummus pizza was the first recipe I made after I got back from my vacation and I couldn't get enough of it! We enjoyed it with a big bowl of green salad and it made such a great dinner.

I made the pizza dough from scratch this time, but of course you can also use pre-made pizza dough instead. However, the recipe for the pizza dough really couldn't be much easier. All you need is flour, instant yeast, salt, and olive oil. The only thing is that it needs to rise for about an hour. So if you got enough time to wait for it to rise, I strongly recommend making your own pizza dough. It's really worth waiting!

I hope you like this vegan hummus pizza as much as I do. Hope you all have a great week and you're getting ready for Christmas. I still can & # 8217t believe it & # 8217s just three more days !!
