whole eggs, at room temperature
cup eggnog, at room temperature
tablespoons whole milk, at room temperature
cup butter, melted and brought to room temp
teaspoon real vanilla extract

Preheat your oven to 350°F, line a sheet pan with parchment paper or a silpat.
Slice the Texas toast into strips of three.
In a shallow dish, beat the eggs, eggnog, milk, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Quickly dunk the slices in the batter and set on a wire rack to drip off any extra batter.
Place all sticks on the prepared pan and place into your preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Remove, flip and return back to the oven for 10-15 more minutes.
Pour the maple syrup into a small bowl.
Meanwhile, heat a small skillet over medium heat. Place the half a stick of butter into the pan. Watch closely until it is a deep golden brown. Remove and pour it into the maple syrup. Season with salt, stir and serve with the warm french toast sticks.

French toast Eggnog is the perfect holiday breakfast for fun and festivities. That's one of the favorites of my dad. During winter, the French toast is our go-to. But we turn to as soon as the Christmas tree is ready. It's a super fast and quick Christmas breakfast or dinner!
I suggest the use of Bakery Bread Artesano Broiche, which is a common brand in most supermarkets. For french toast, it has the right thickness and density. Every variation of this recipe works. When you've got a bread that's already perfect for you, go for that! I always had a tough time finding the right bread for French toast so I was delighted to find a brand I can still use.
How to Make Eggnog French Toast
- Mix milk, milk nog, musk and vanilla extract in a pie platter or large mixing cup. I recommend eggnog and freshly grated nutmeg for good quality.
- I use a large electric griddle, which can simultaneously cook six slices. Until cooking a lot, I divide the recipe into two batches and melt one table cubic meth of butter on the griddle.
- Take the bread on both sides and shake off any waste easily.
- Cook on hot grid until golden brown is present on both sides.
- Serve with warm sugar, crème chopped and crannies if needed. Serve with warm maple.

Step 1: Combine eggnog mixture
Add eggnog, flour, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt in a blender and pulse until smooth. You can also whisk together the ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
Step 2: Dip bread into mixture, then cook
Dip the thick bread into the eggnog mixture and flip evenly to coat. Then place the bread on a buttered griddle (preheated to 350°F) or buttered skillet over medium-high heat. Cook for 2 minutes per side, or until lightly golden brown.
